How it looks on the blockchain Figure 3 – Wasabi transaction example (first rows out of 126 inputs and 223 outputs) The Wasabi Wallet uses a Bech32 address format starting with “BC1,” which can be easily noticed on the right side of figure 3 above, representing the output. This address format is used for all Wasabi addresses and create a distinct pattern for all Wasabi transactions. Another distinct pattern is the similar size of transactions and sorted amounts (listed from lowest to highest, with many of the amounts in the output side repeated). In the example presented in figure 3 above, the amount of 0.10370144 BTC is repeated 99 times out of 223 outputs. The second most frequently repeated amount is 0.20737592 BTC, which repeated 22 times. This means that Wasabi Coinjoin transactions are quite easy to spot on the Blockchain. However, it is extremely difficult to follow the money trail through such transactions. 8 8
