The statistical analysis we conducted was meant to help us draw insightful conclusions regarding the “double extortion” tactic. First, we detected that victims who were hit b both ransom are infection and data e åfltration/leak originated from 63 countries. Second, the top ten aâfected countries constitute 87% of the total ictims. The top ten aâfected countries, as can be seen in the pie chart abo e, ere as follo s: Se eral conclusions can be dra n from these åfndings: + 8 of the top 10 countries (e cluding Bra il and India) are Western countries. + The number of ictims is the USA – 615, accounts for 56% of the ictims, i.e. more than half of the ictims ere American. + Canada, the second most targeted countr , had 83 ictims, constituting onl 8% of the total ictims.
