Tax evasion is widespread - many influencers and e-commerce sellers fail to report, or underreport their income. In some countries, ecommerce platforms are mandated to report sales information and seller identification to tax authorities, however this is not the case in many countries. As the number of sellers and platforms multiply, the challenge for authorities increases.
