13 2022 IT Leaders in the Data Fusion/Analytics Domain Survey Report Who Has Prime Responsibility for Selecting Data Fusion/Analytics Platforms? It’s interesting to consider who has ownership over the buying process for data fusion platforms. The data shows that in more than half of organizations, the CIO/Head of IT holds the prime responsibility for this task. CIOs need to be sure that platforms comply with organizations' IT policies and strategy. Even though the Head of Investigation team will be heavily involved in the choice of platform based on usability/functionality, the ultimate decision belongs to the CIO who has overall responsibility for the organization's IT infrastructure.
