USE CASE #2
SITUATIONAL INTELLIGENCE +
REAL-TIME OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
A POWERFUL COMBINATION
Even more importantly, a holistic Security Analytics platform can
multiply the power of each team. In this use case, video cameras
and feeds from tactical cellular equipment provide mobile identities
that can be correlated with other situational intelligence sources
to reveal that the two fgures are known suspects, allowing the
team on the ground time to regroup.
SITUATIONAL INTELLIGENCE REAL-TIME OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Automatically fuses and correlates
enormous amounts of diverse data
(video, access control, other sensors)
in order to recognize patterns
Creates an organization-wide
collaborative view of situational
intelligence across disparate
systems and technologies
Supports better and faster situational
intelligence decision-making, including
triggering automated incident
response workfows where possible
Connects individuals and units
with real-time insights and alerts
Optimizes operational actions and
incident response through close
collaboration between feld teams
at headquarters
Field teams can be guided in real time
by predefned operation protocols,
while on-the-fy operational decisions
beneft from full visibility no matter
how dynamic the situation
During a police operation, a feld team approaches the targeted
compound and prepares to breach. The area is monitored by video
cameras in the Safe City control room. Just as the operation is about to
begin, a suspicious movement is detected by the cameras monitoring
the compound and two fgures are observed approaching the area.
Under normal conditions, the team would only know that there are
two people approaching the area. They would not have answers to
important questions such as Who are they? Do they jeopardize the
operation?
A Security Analytics system empowers each team in the
following ways:
