NEXYTE product description Page 17 8.3 Health Management NEXYTE Health Monitor (HM) enables customers to monitor all system components, functionality and performance from one centralized intuitive interface, eliminating the need to separately monitor the status of each subsystem, or interface with an external database. With HM, customers are empowered to respond quickly to and prevent potential problems. Operators can view the physical status of all elements, get general statistics such as free storage, CPU usage, as well as the status of the system’s logical functionality, such as ingestion mechanism, entity extraction, analytics, external interfaces, etc. The HM interfaces with major 3 rd party machines and maintenance platforms such as VCenter and eliminates the need for separate monitoring tools. For example, by integrating the VCenter management to HM, the customer can monitor the different virtual machines, perform the migration process from one virtual machine to another, and directly monitor the status of available resources on each one of the machines. Alarms are triggered based on user-defined thresholds and are accompanied by detailed troubleshooting information, instructive system failure notifications, and a range of tools that enable efficient and immediate failure management. These include: + Sending real time notifications via external communication means such as email, SMS, etc. + Transferring notifications or specific events to the customer's centralized management systems. 8.4 System Security NEXYTE provides a variety of advanced security mechanisms that protect against external penetration and unauthorized internal usage, thus drastically reducing the organization’s exposure risk to malware infections and unauthorized data access to near zero: + Virus Scanning. NEXYTE includes Symantec's Scan Engine, a proven anti-virus and malware protection engine which automatically scans content retrieved from external databases or uploaded by users. NEXYTE isolates any virus detected in quarantine and blocks it within the system. This anti-virus package is frequently updated to support the detection of new types of viruses and other malware. + Ongoing Server and Workstation Protection. Symantec End Point Protection (SEP) antivirus and personal firewall client is installed on each NEXYTE server and workstation. SEP provides general protection from malicious files entering the NEXYTE system. + Workstation Isolation. The NEXYTE server can be isolated from the hardware on which it runs by the usage of virtualized environment such as VMware ThinAPP. This enables the isolation of potential malware running on fused documents and web pages from harming the machine.
