NEXYTE product description Page 15 8.1.2 Audit NEXYTE logs and stores each data access, search, investigation and analysis action (export, print, create investigation, link or user, etc.) performed by users. All user actions in the system are logged with the vital audit information. For each action at least the following fields are stored: + Username + Time + Action + Item type + Item name + Old value + New value + Description The Audit capability is not limited only to the actions of a specific user, but also allows the tracking of data usage – of how a data item has been used, by whom and for what purposes. The Audit capability also tracks creation of insights by users, which helps to explain the progression of an investigation and how a research hypothesis was generated. In addition, the Audit capability logs instances when outcomes from the analytical models are added to an entity, as well as when a user vets the outcome (see section 6.3 Vetting of Results). The Audit log functions both on a system level for traceability and monitoring, but also on an entity level, which enables operational supervision and decision-making control. For example, each member of an investigation with the relevant permissions can monitor the action of all other users in the investigation team. The History Logs show information about each user activity in the system including user details, activity details, and the groups to which the user belongs. It also provides recording, traceability and nonrepudiation capabilities for the auditing of decisions flows and their simulations.
