NEXYTE product description Page 6 5.6.1 Investigation tools In addition to tools described above, the investigative environment offers additional dedicated case- specific tools: + Entity compare & merge tool allows analysts to investigate multiple data pieces related to the same person in multiple entities, and then decide whether to merge them or not. The merge action prevents duplicates within the system and saves valuable investigation time. The system combines the information and data regarding both system entities into a single entity and allows to subsequently cancel the merge if necessary. + Case collaboration tools are available to all assigned analysts, who can tag relevant content, specify recommendations or guidelines, generate reports, input comments and insights and create summary reports which highlight the items they feel should be noted and prioritized. + Access to case information depends on the assignment of the analyst(s) to the case. Segmentation assures only approved users can access and work with the case-related information, and only they can contribute to them. Access levels determine the type of actions permitted to the user: Read, Read-Write, Management. + Investigation reports allow to collect and summarize investigation information to share with colleagues, management, or other units, and enable senior analysts and/or administrators to track the progress and status of ongoing investigations. + Geo-fence creation allows the user to define a geographical perimeter for the investigation.
