NEXYTE product description Page 1 5.1.2 Visual Link Analysis (VLA) Link Analysis provides a comprehensive graphic display of an entity’s entire network of relationships and associations. It enables investigators to visually display an entity’s relationships, including types and frequency of association. Using graphic representation of relationships, participation in events, communication-links, web-related links and others, the Link Analysis enables users to easily identify connections, even between seemingly independent entities. For instance, if two individuals never met but use a common contact to mediate between them. Link Analysis also provides indication of derived connections, such as which criminal groups are linked to a specific entity. Link Analysis supports multiple presentation modes, allowing analysts to quickly drill down to more detailed information about each entity and its network of relationships, and leading to insightful information that accelerates the investigation. The resulting Link Analysis outputs are visualized in the following displays: + Link Diagram. The graphic visualization of relationships allows users to view persons, groups or organizations linked to the suspect entity, irrespective of the type of link or context. The Link Analysis calculates the relative strength of relationships and represents them in an easy to grasp graphic display. Each of the mapped nodes can be expanded to further track the relationship. + Location display. The Link analysis can be projected onto maps to display the location of the node, such as person’s home, work address, or location of the CDR relating to the entity's activity. Integrating relationships with location provides investigators with additional dimensions of valuable information and insight. Figure 1Virtual Link Analysis Example
