2023 - The Year of GenAI
2023 was the year of generative AI (GenAI). Beginning with the initial boom of ChatGPT,
technology companies in all domains are racing to leverage GenAI technology and applications.
An important component of threat intelligence is the ability to take massive volumes of data
points, and process, contextualize and enrich them in order to understand the threats and
mitigate them. For this reason, the concept of leveraging GenAI for threat intelligence is a
natural fit, and has the potential to give organizations a critical upper hand in combatting
threats. The market is still in the early stages of adoption, and the marriage between GenAI
applications and threat intelligence will be one of the most intriguing developments to watch
in 2024.
Today, it is essential for threat intelligence analysts and SOC teams to speed up risk assessment
and analyze raw data at scale, in order to keep up with the rapid and continuous development
of new, more sophisticated threats. Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) technologies can
support threat intelligence use cases such as:
Sorting & filtering
raw data
Creating
reports
Identifying and
